Daniel has been a coach since the age of 12 when he first began coaching trampoline. He worked the last 16 years as a violin teacher and viola instructor. Teaching from four-year-old to retirees, teaching at Sweet Briar College and Lynchburg College. As an instructor in several music stores including Fairfax county in Northern Virginia at Tysons corner where he taught up to 85 students per week, as their Senior Viola Instructor.

He started in Europe with Brenda Stewart a viola and violin teacher, who at an early age was in charge of the World Academy Strings program (Junior Strings Program). She was a violist student of William Primrose, one of the most famous viola players of all times. He uses a traditional reading method even for his youngest students, using the Essential Techniques and Essential Elements Books. He uses Suzuki and —Violin Solo Beyond— but does not teach the Suzuki violin string method. Teaching is done on an individual one-on-one lesson bases and is geared to each individual student.

Individual lessons are supplemented with the pre-established curriculum Essential Elements for Strings.


Students received approximately 15 lessons per semester in the fall and 20 lessons in the spring.

Beginner and intermediate level students take 30 or 45-minute lessons while advanced students take 60-minute lessons. The private lesson provides time for individualized instruction on technique, style, and theory. Lessons are structured around exercises, studies and solo pieces.
